Your car was towed in El Paso: the City storage facility, fees and what to bring
Cars towed by El Paso police go to the City-owned storage facility in Northeast El Paso. Parking-lot tows go to the tow company's own licensed lot.
General information, not legal advice. The papers you got from the police, the tow company, the storage lot or a state agency control your dates. Agencies change phone numbers and steps, so check the agency's own page too.
Police tows
EPPD tows cars that are illegally parked or appear abandoned, were in a crash or are unsafe, whose driver was arrested or unlicensed, or whose registration expired. They go to the City of El Paso Municipal Vehicle Storage Facility, 11615 Railroad Drive, open 24 hours: (915) 212-0205. The facility's operator also has an online inventory search.
Parking-lot tows
A car towed from private property goes to the tow company's licensed storage lot, and that lot must report the tow to police within two hours. The tow signs at the lot must give a phone number that lets you find the car.
