From December 1, 2026 to March 1, 2027, night parking permits do not cover through highways or bus routes after 8 p.m., and streets with both-side night parking switch to alternate sides (Milwaukee Code § 101-27-8; the City's Parking Regulations page).
2025 Wisconsin Act 179 raises the clerk's fee to start a small-claims case from $22 to $39, and the mailing fee for each defendant served by mail from $2 to $7, starting November 1, 2026.
Milwaukee tows cars with 5 or more old unpaid tickets
Since January 1, 2026, a car whose owner has 5 or more parking tickets more than 60 days past due can be towed from a City street or lot after a mailed notice (Milwaukee Code § 101-25.7). The City's page says an active payment plan removes tow eligibility.
